The scene is a many ways reminiscent of grand allegorical paintings, the models evoking the Muses and other divine creatures from Classical mythology. There is an air of drama and even sorrow felt throughout this image, in their bodies, expressions and gestures, all the more surprising considering its original setting of Playboy magazine. This work demonstrates an artist continuing to explore and redevelop their language even at the height of their success.
